When to send a birth announcement

New parents know that the first few weeks are the busiest weeks. They are caught up in baby’s care and vaccinations. Clothes and toys are also on the list. So if someone’s doing it in the first week, it is awesome. But if you delay it to 2 weeks or a month, it will also be okay.

After a month you will be more used to the routine and everything will be in order. So, you can announce to the family and friends in a month or after a month.

After eight weeks, i.e., two months, you are still doing a great job. Many young parents will see you with admiration because not all can find enough time within the first few months. So, we can say that it is the ideal time at which you can do everything properly.  

But remember! Do it when you can manage, otherwise wait for that time, which should be within 3 months.

The last option is to announce on the six months, which is quite late but acceptable. After six months, it will not create an impact. So, try to announce within three months.

Keep that in mind that I have described the rules for sending a birth announcement to family and friends, and by sending a birth announcement I mean the formal invitation for a party (an affordable one).

How to write a birth announcement

• Child’s full name
• Specify the gender, i.e., sex
• Date of birth including time of birth, if possible
• Include baby’s weight and length but it is optional and depends on various factors
• Include your own family’s name, name of child’s siblings, parents, and grandparents
• If you can, including a photo of your child is a great idea

Who should not receive the announcement
